We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Interventional Cardiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Maryville, Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking a full-time schedule, though PRN and call-only availability will also be considered.
Location: Maryville, Illinois
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Assignment Length: 3-month contract with ongoing extension potential through the end of 2026
Schedule
- Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
- 1 night of call per week (negotiable)
- 1 weekend of call per month (negotiable)
- Full-time preferred (40 hours/week)
Practice Details
- Average of 15 patients per weekday
- Up to 25 patients per weekend while on call
- Primary responsibilities include hospital rounding and general cardiology care
- STEMI call coverage and interventional cardiology procedures
Procedures & Responsibilities
- Hospital rounding
- Cardiac catheterizations
- Coronary interventions
- STEMI management
- Temporary pacemaker placement
- Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Echocardiograms (Echo)
- EKG interpretation
