Job description

This is a full-time attending psychiatrist position focused exclusively on the hospital's child and adolescent patient population. This role does not include Medical Director or executive leadership responsibilities, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional psychiatric care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The hospital provides a full continuum of behavioral health services, including acute inpatient care, a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), supporting continuity of care beyond hospitalization.

Working alongside experienced nurse practitioners, therapists, nurses, social workers, and hospital leadership, you will play a vital role in the evaluation, treatment, and stabilization of children and adolescents experiencing acute psychiatric conditions.

The Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, and physician-level consultation for hospitalized pediatric behavioral health patients.

Within the hospital's collaborative care model, nurse practitioners provide much of the routine day-to-day patient management, while psychiatrists serve as the physician resource for psychiatric evaluations, complex cases, medication oversight, consultation, and clinical decision-making.
