Fredericksburg, VA - Locums OB HospitalistAvailability
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Current Need: Approximately 11-18 shifts per month outside of normal staffing
  • Providers Needed: 4
  • Scheduling Flexibility:
    • No minimum shift commitment
    • Facility can utilize providers for as little as 1 shift
    • Open to working around provider availability
    • Consecutive shifts are typically not scheduled; every-other-day scheduling may be accommodated
License & Certification Requirements
  • Virginia Medical License: Required
  • Board Status: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE)
  • Certification: Current BLS
Call Details
  • In-house call
Clinical Responsibilities
  • OB Hospitalist coverage
  • Admissions
  • Assigned patient rounding
  • Labor and delivery management
Practice Details
  • Specialty: OB Hospitalist / OB-GYN
  • Patient Volume: 16-20 patients per shift
  • Department: 16-bed unit
  • Coverage Model: Two OB/GYN physicians on call 24/7
  • Anesthesia: 24/7 in-house coverage
  • EMR: Epic
  • Trauma Designation: Level II / Level III Trauma Center
Ideal Candidate
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible OB-GYN
  • Active Virginia medical license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Comfortable with admissions and inpatient rounding
  • Interested in flexible, ongoing call coverage
  • Able to work collaboratively within a two-physician coverage model
