Physician Assistant - OB/GYN (Locum Tenens) Description
We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) specializing in OB/GYN for a locum tenens opportunity in Massachusetts. This inpatient-focused role begins as soon as credentialed and runs for an initial 3-month assignment. The provider will support a high-acuity labor and delivery service with 24/7 interdisciplinary coverage in place. This is a nights and weekends inpatient role within a busy delivery service.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient OB/GYN care in labor and delivery setting
- Support management of active labor, deliveries, and postpartum care
- Collaborate with OB physicians, PAs, and certified nurse midwives
- Respond to inpatient obstetric needs during scheduled shifts
- Assist with high-acuity obstetric patient management
- Document patient care in EPIC EMR
- Maintain adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Physician Assistant license required at submission
- PA-C certification required
- OB/GYN inpatient experience preferred
- Must be comfortable with night and weekend inpatient shifts
- Strong clinical decision-making in high-acuity settings
- EPIC EMR experience required or willingness to complete training
Working Hours
- Start: As soon as credentialed
- Assignment length: 3 months
- Schedule: Full-time, 3 shifts per week
- Shift times: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Nights and weekends required
- Call requirement: 3 shifts per week (inpatient coverage)
