Job Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency care in a fast-paced environment with an annual patient volume of 12,000.
- Work closely with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in a supervised model if applicable.
- Ensure quality care with a focus on patient outcomes and safety.
Requirements:
- Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
- Residency trained in an ACGME-accredited program.
- Certifications required: ATLS, ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR system preferred.
- Active Alabama state medical license required prior to privileges.
Additional Details:
- Daily Census: Average of 32 patients per day.
- 1-day orientation and EMR training.
- Onboarding includes vaccination compliance (COVID, Flu, TB, Hepatitis, MMR).
- No scribe coverage; independent documentation required.
