OB/GYN Physician - Outpatient Private Practice

Location: Long Island, NY

Job Type: Full-Time

Facility Type: Outpatient position with no hospital work, deliveries, or surgeries.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated OB/GYN Physician to join a well-established, office-based private practice with a long-standing reputation for providing exceptional women's healthcare. This is a 100% outpatient position with no hospital work, deliveries, or surgeries.

  • Preventive care such as annual well-woman exams, cancer screenings, STI testing, and menopausal care

  • Diagnosis and management of gynecologic conditions using evidence-based practices

  • Reproductive and sexual health counseling tailored to diverse patient populations

  • Performing in-office procedures including Pap smears, colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, and IUD/implant placement and removal

  • Providing clinical guidance and support to Physician Assistants as needed

  • Maintaining high standards of patient care and contributing to a positive office culture

Position Highlights:

  • Flexible schedule with approximately 30-35 hours per week

  • No hospital responsibilities, deliveries, or surgical procedures

  • Limited phone-only call coverage (1 night in 4 and 1 weekend in 4)

  • One Saturday office shift (approximately 6 hours) per month

  • Established patient base with high patient satisfaction

  • AIUM-accredited practice with certified ultrasound technicians on-site

  • Excellent clinical and administrative support staff

  • Immediate hiring opportunity

Patient Population:

  • Primarily women ages 20-75

  • Occasional adolescent patients

  • Approximately 20-24 patients per day during an 8-hour schedule

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

  • Active and unrestricted New York medical license or ability to obtain

  • Minimum of 10 years of post-residency OB/GYN experience required

  • Candidates with 20-25 years of experience strongly preferred

  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice independently

  • Experience supervising or collaborating with advanced practice providers preferred
