Job description

  • Specialty:
    • Hospitalist
    • Will take IM or FM
  • Coverage Needs:
    • Need ASAP - Ongoing
    • 7 on - 7 off
    • 7a-7p
  • Shifts:
    • 8a-8p OR 8p-8a
  • Setting:
    • Must be Respiratory/Critical Care experienced with procedures as this is 100% IP based
  • Census:
    • 86-bed Acute Care hospital / 10 ICU beds
  • Procedures:
    • Moderate SedationLumbar Puncture
    • Lumbar Puncture
    • Endotracheal Intubation and Extubation
    • Paracentesis/Thoracentesis
    • Ventilator Management including Assessing Readiness for and Administering Respiratory Weaning/Oxygen Therapy and Extubation. Assessing need for Intubation
    • Chest Tube Insertion
    • Insertion of PICC Lines, Arterial Lines, Central Venous Lines either percutaneously or by cut down
    • Arterial Line Insertion and Removal (radial and femoral) - these two privileges may be the same
    • Tracheostomy Care including Tube Change
    • Management of Tension pneumothorax in Emergent Situation
    • External pacing including adjusting temporary epicardial, transvenous, or transcutaneous pacemaker as necessary
  • EMR:
    • EPIC
  • Board Certification:
    • BC/BE Required
  • Travel:
    • Hospital will cover
  • Credentialing timeline:
    • Can fast track for ASAP start
  • Requirements:
    • Active MI state license or IMLC
    • Active DEA in MI or willing to transfer
    • ACLS
