Position Overview
Emergency Medicine physician coverage in a high volume emergency department with APP support
Annual ED volume: about 49,500
Emergency department beds: 42
Scribe coverage: 10 hours per day
EMR: Meditech, transitioning to Epic in 2025
Required Qualifications
MD or DO
Residency completed in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine
Board certification accepted: ABEM or AOBEM, or ABFM with recent Emergency Department experience
Active Louisiana medical license in hand
DEA with Louisiana address
ACLS and PALS
ATLS for Family Medicine trained physicians
Case logs for the past 2 years
Credentialing
Privileging timeframe: about 90 days
