Schedule:
24-hour beeper call (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)
Response time: 15 minutes by phone, 30 minutes onsite if called in

Coverage Needs:

• July 17 (7a) July 20 (7a)
• Anticipated coverage of 1 2 weekends per month
• Additional 2027 needs in planning

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• OK License or IMLC
• Must be comfortable performing total hip procedures (required)
• ACLS and BLS required
• Full privileges required (no temporary privileges)
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days

Facility Details:

• Trauma Level III
• 99 beds
• EMR: Epic
• Inpatient setting only

Volume:

• Average 6 patients per shift
• Average inpatient orthopedic census: 10
• Approximately 5 phone consults per shift
• Callback rate around 10% (typically 0 4 hours if called in)

Case Mix:

• Required Procedures:
• Total Hip Replacement
• Total Knee Replacement
• Joint Revision or Repair
• Shoulder, Hip, Knee
• Simple fractures
• General ED orthopedic coverage

Additional Notes:

• Supported by 2 employed orthopedic surgeons and 1 independent physician with privileges
• No APP supervision required
• No clinic responsibilities
