Locums - Cottonwood, Arizona, Interventional Cardiology Job (IMLC Welcome)
Clinical Role
Join an established Cardiovascular Institute in Cottonwood, Arizona, providing Interventional Cardiology coverage in both the hospital and clinic settings. This ongoing locums opportunity offers a rotating hospital and clinic schedule, STEMI coverage, consultative services, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team in the beautiful Verde Valley.

- Rotation between hospital and clinic each week
- Possible weekend coverage

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
- Hospital
- Outpatient Clinic
Patient Population:
Department Description:
- Cardiovascular Institute serving the Verde Valley
- Interventional Cardiology coverage
- STEMI management
- Cardiology consultations
- No Cardiothoracic Surgery backup available
Patient Volume:
- Hospital consults: Approximately 8-14 patients per day
- Clinic: Approximately 18-24 patients per day
- TEEs: Approximately 1-2 per day
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide Interventional Cardiology services
- Manage STEMI patients
- Perform hospital consultations
- Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Evaluate and manage outpatient cardiology patients
- Collaborate with hospital and clinic teams
- Document patient care using Cerner
Support & Technology

- Medical Assistants
- Patient Care Technicians
- Nursing staff
- Physician Assistant support for inpatient services
Requirements
- Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology required
- Arizona Medical License required
- Facility has time to assist with Arizona licensure
- IMLC Accepted
- ACLS required
- BLS required
- Minimum two years of Interventional Cardiology experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with patients and staff
