- Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
- Start Date: August 2026
- Contract: Multiple scheduled coverage blocks
- Coverage Dates:
- August 18-25
- November 26-30
- December 18-24
- Call: 24-hour beeper call (7:00 AM-7:00 AM)
- Response Time: 20 minutes
- Orientation: Required onsite prior to the first assignment
- EMR: MediTech
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide orthopedic emergency department call coverage
- Evaluate and treat fractures and general orthopedic injuries
- Perform operative management as clinically indicated
- Provide total joint and general orthopedic care
- Collaborate with the emergency department and surgical care teams
Requirements
- Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS)
- Active Michigan medical license
- Active Michigan CDS and DEA registration
- Total joint experience preferred
- Ability to meet the required 20-minute response time
- Hospital privileges required
- Temporary privileges available
