A healthcare organization in Louisiana is seeking a Board Certified Invasive Cardiologist for a long-term locum tenens assignment. This opportunity combines outpatient clinic responsibilities, inpatient consultative care, hospital rotations, and shared call while supporting continuity of care for an established patient panel.

Assignment Details
- Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
- Start Date: As soon as credentialed
- Contract: Long-term
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with hospital rotations approximately every 5-6 weeks
- Coverage: Minimum of three weeks per month preferred
- Call: Shared beeper call
- Response Time: Within 30 minutes
- EMR: EPIC
- Temporary Privileges: Not available
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient invasive cardiology clinic services
- Manage an established panel of cardiology patients
- Perform inpatient consultations and daily rounding during hospital service
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate care with referring providers
- Interpret diagnostic cardiovascular studies
- Communicate results and treatment plans with patients and referring clinicians
- Supervise Physician Assistants as the designated supervising physician
- Document patient care using EPIC
Requirements
- Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
- Fellowship training in Cardiology
- Active medical license with eligibility for hospital privileges
- Ability to serve as supervising physician for Physician Assistants
- Experience providing both outpatient and inpatient invasive cardiology services
- Commitment to a minimum of three weeks of coverage per month preferred
