A strong community health system in New York City is seeking a licensed Physician to join their team as a Medical Director.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (1 Saturday or Sunday per month)
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (one later night per week)
- Setting: Outpatient
- Patient Population: all ages
Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise all providers working at the outpatient site and perform competency evaluations
- Organize monthly meetings with providers with documented minutes of meeting
- Participate in monthly office management meeting with nurse manager and office manager of site
- Monitor provider productivity, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
- Supervise clinical performance of training programs and trainees in collaboration with training program directors
- Collaborate with nursing, social work, and administrative managers in the hiring of new staff
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages in addition to leadership and administrative responsibilities
Qualifications:
- License to practice medicine in New York
- Board Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine
- Interest in community health and working with diverse populations
- Previous leadership experience
