Job description

Rheumatologist: Ground-Floor Opportunity to Establish a New Practice

Leading healthcare system located in southeastern Indiana is seeking a B/C or B/E Rheumatologist to help develop and grow a new practice within the health system. Currently there are no full- time Rheumatology Physicians which is forcing them to refer patients to outside physician practices.

They employ a team of over 300 providers fostering a tradition of excellence extending to all aspects of care, from routine check-ups to leading-edge surgical procedures The hospital provides 24-hour emergency and inpatient services, surgical services, and laboratory and diagnostic services

This is a full- time clinical position (36 patient facing hours per week). Plus, approximately 4 hours per week dedicated to program development.
100% Out patient
3 patient rooms will be assigned

This practice will be located in the Multi-Disciplinary Clinic next to the hospital. Clinical & Non-Clinical Support Staff: Dedicated MA, front desk support, etc

On-Site Ancillary Services: Lab, X-Ray, Pharmacy including Specialty Pharmacy (Spec. Pharm fills some very high dollar meds/biologics custom-made drugs), Onsite Radiation Oncology for Osteoarthritis Treatment

Anticipated Work Schedule: Mon-Friday 8-5 clinic
Base Salary of $300,000 for first two years Plus, a Program Development stipend (up to $30,000 a year, payable monthly) Initial All-inclusive Recruitment Incentive starting with $60,000 tied to a 3-year commitment CME Allowance is $4,000 annually throughout the contract (add $1,000 for each additional board-certified specialty, up to $8,000/year)

Provider Paid Time Off (PPTO) is on an accrual basis equating to 39 days per year PTO is an all-inclusive bucket of time off to be used for vacation, sick, holidays, CME, other practice closures, etc. Unused PPTO hours roll over to subsequent years, with a cap in place
