Vanderbilt Health is seeking Board-Certified Family Medicine and Medicine-Pediatrics (Med-Peds) physicians to join our expanding network of Walk-In Clinics in Davidson County & Hendersonville, TN.

Position Highlights
As a physician within Vanderbilt Health Walk-In Clinics, you will provide evidence-based care for patients with acute illnesses and injuries while working in a collaborative, team-based environment. In addition to clinical practice, physicians contribute to Vanderbilt's academic mission through teaching, mentorship, and quality improvement initiatives.
This role offers the unique opportunity to combine patient care with education, leadership, and clinical innovation within an internationally recognized academic health system.

As a physician within Vanderbilt Health Walk-In Clinics, you will provide evidence-based care for patients with acute illnesses and injuries while working in a collaborative, team-based environment. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality urgent and same-day outpatient care for patients of all ages within the scope of Family Medicine or Med-Peds.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
- Actively supervise and mentor APPs through collaborative clinical practice, case discussions, and professional development.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the ambulatory clinical setting.
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical research initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and operational excellence.
- Support Vanderbilt's mission of excellence in patient care, education, and innovation.
We are seeking physicians who bring a strong combination of clinical expertise, academic engagement, and collaborative leadership. Successful candidates will ideally have:
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Medicine-Pediatrics (Med-Peds)
- Candidates who are solely Internal Medicine or Pediatrics trained are not eligible for this position.
- A minimum of 2 years of post-training clinical experience, with 4 or more years preferred
- Experience practicing within an academic medical center
- Clinical experience in Urgent Care preferred; physicians with a strong Primary Care background are also encouraged to apply
- Experience teaching and mentoring residents, fellows, or medical students
- Experience participating in quality improvement initiatives and/or urgent care research projects
- Demonstrated success working collaboratively with Advanced Practice Providers, including meaningful clinical supervision, mentorship, and team-based patient care
