Clinical Role
Join a leading academic cardiology program in Omaha, Nebraska, providing General Cardiology coverage across a four-hospital hub-and-spoke health system. This locums opportunity offers a combination of weekday onsite coverage and shared night call with excellent APP and fellow support in a collaborative academic environment.

- Hub-and-spoke model
- Academic medical center serving as the primary hub
- Four hospital coverage with occasional ambulatory clinic visits

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
- Hospital
- Occasional ambulatory clinic
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide General Cardiology consultations
- Perform and interpret echocardiograms (ECHO)
- Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Participate in inpatient rounding with APP support
- Evaluate inpatient consults
- Coordinate care across the four-hospital system
- Document patient care using EPIC
Night Call Responsibilities
- Secondary call coverage only
- Fellows provide first-call coverage
- APPs remain in-house overnight
- Emergency Department physicians and APPs evaluate patients overnight
- Most overnight calls involve consultation requests for evaluation the following day
- Very low physician callback volume
- Rare need to come onsite overnight

Requirements
- Board Certified in Cardiology required
- Active Nebraska and Iowa Medical Licenses required or
- Active IMLC with Letter of Qualification (LOQ) in hand at time of submission
- ACLS highly preferred
- BLS highly preferred
- DEA highly preferred
- Clean malpractice history highly preferred
- Clean background highly preferred
