Psychiatry Physician Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in San Francisco, CA

  • Shift: Monday/Tuesday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (onsite) + Night call; Weekends: Rounding at 8:00 AM, then on-call until 8:00 AM the next day
  • Hours/week: 40+ hours/week
  • Employment Type: Contract (full-time coverage, including weekends)
  • License/Certifications: BC in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry or BC in General Psychiatry with completed CAP fellowship
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in psychiatric medication management, adolescent development, and family systems

Pay & Benefits:
  • Pay Rate: $273/hour
  • Night Call: $750/night
  • Weekly Pay via direct deposit

What You ll Do:
  • Provide psychiatric care to children and adolescents, managing 6 12 patients daily
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans incorporating medication and therapy
  • Oversee and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and guardians
  • Manage challenging behaviors with therapeutic interventions
  • Handle admissions, medication management, and crisis de-escalation, including night and weekend coverage
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to legal and safety protocols

What You Need:
  • BC in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry or BC in General Psychiatry with CAP fellowship completion
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in adolescent mental health care
  • Strong foundation in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate compassionately with patients and families
  • Knowledge of adolescent legal, educational, and safeguarding frameworks
