Facility:This is a well-established medical center serving the greater Los Angeles area, offering a comprehensive women's health program with a robust labor and delivery unit. The facility features ten labor and delivery rooms, eight antepartum rooms, eighteen postpartum rooms, and two dedicated operating rooms, providing a full-service environment with laborist back-up and perinatology support available.
Opportunity:Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:- OB/Gyn Hospitalist providing inpatient coverage with 5-10 patient encounters per shift
- Coverage required for both day and night shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am); must be willing to work both
- Minimum of 7-14 shifts per month required; 12 shifts per month needed
- 12-hour guaranteed shifts with no on-call requirements
- Provide coverage for unassigned OB patients, patients signed out by primary OBs, and unassigned Gyn emergency department patients
- Provide surgical management of c-sections, spontaneous abortions, and ovarian torsion
- Assist private physicians with planned and unplanned c-sections
- Oversee labor of low and high-risk OB patients
- Manage low and high-risk pregnancies with full FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
- Perform OB ultrasounds including Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic)
- Perform amniocentesis procedures
- Conduct routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, c-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
- Decision-making for c-sections required
- Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations required
- Provide surgical gynecology services including open procedures, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures, and operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)
- Active California medical license required; licensure in CA only accepted
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 6 years of residency required
- Active DEA required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Clean application required; providers with settlements, DUIs/drug issues, restrictions, terminations, or Medical Board actions are not eligible
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 30 days; start date 9/1/2026
Compensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
